Ally is our Support Clinical Lead and joined the national Support Team at the beginning of 2021 .

He has a background in mental health with a Masters in Interpersonal Dialogue and has worked as a professional counselling therapist since 2012. He specialises in both mental health assessment and crisis support (for individuals and families). Ally also has a good understanding of the unique challenges that Ministry brings, both for office holders and their loved ones.

Ally is available to speak confidentially to Ministers and manse family members, whether the issue is directly related to the Church or not.

Before working with the Church of Scotland, Ally was in a leadership role with a L’Arche community and has worked as a therapist to both adults and children in a variety of settings
