Michael is the Director of the Institute of Pastoral Supervision & Reflective Practice. Previous roles included parish ministry in UPA, city and rural settings; theological and ministerial education (Cambridge Theological Federation); and hospice chaplaincy (London Lighthouse & St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh).

Michael’s commitment to pastoral supervision arises from a conviction that God’s people deserve to be served fresh daily bread not yesterday’s leftovers. Keeping ministry fresh and alive through truth-telling conversations about the difficulties and the graces of ministry are what motivates him both as supervisor and as supervisee.
