Morven is a Senior Accredited pastoral supervisor with APSE who offers individual and group supervision. She is an experienced humanistic and integrative counsellor (MBACP: Accred), a supervisor and trainer in private practice. As a former teacher, school counsellor, SENDCo (Special Education Needs & Disability co-ordinator), Safeguarding Lead and Inclusion Lead, she has experience in education, management and supporting people in their professional development and practice.
With experience of a variety of church denominations, leading pastoral prayer ministry teams in the UK and USA and being a clergy wife, she is a firm believer in the need for supervision and reflective practice to support people in Christian ministry and pastoral settings.
She offers a confidential and creative space bringing solid, empathic, consistent, open, and insightful skills to her facilitative style. She believes that the supervisory relationship enables clergy and pastoral leaders to process their work and become more self-aware, deal with significant emotional dilemmas that arise, work with resistance with challenge and sensitivity, have accountability and a sense of well-being.
She holds a Diploma in Supervision from the Scarborough Psychotherapy Training Institute and a Masters in Counselling Studies from Nottingham University.
