Dear Friends,
While we’re not going to have another Aberdeen Academy of Theology until the autumn, for those of you who can’t wait that long to stretch your theological muscles, there’s an exciting series of lectures happening at the University of Aberdeen next month.
Miroslav Volf, Professor of Theology at Yale University and author of Exclusion and Embrace: A Theological Exploration of Identity, Otherness, and Reconciliation (a book Christianity Today named one its ‘100 Books of the 20th Century’) will be delivering the annual Gifford Lectures at 6pm on the 12th, 13th, 15th, 19th, and 20th of May at the King’s College Conference Centre at the University. The title of the series is ‘Amor Mundi: God and the Character of Our Relation to the World’. The topics of individual lectures are detailed in the attached flyer.
The Gifford Lectures are a public event, open to anyone wishing to attend. These lectures will also be live-streamed. If you are interested in attending in-person or online please register in advance at: https://abdn.site/OHL6d.
