We are delighted to announce that the New College Festival of Books and Belief is running for its third year from 2-4 November. This year, we have invited award-winning writers, thinkers, scholars, journalists and historians to share their experiences and discuss their work, in the magnificent setting of New College, on the Mound, Edinburgh.

Join us on Thursday 2nd to hear Laura Saetveit Miles tell us ‘How to read like the Virgin’. Ayesha S. Chaudhry will be here on Friday 3rd to speak about her book, ‘The Colour of God’, which examines the joys and sorrows of life in the wreckage of colonialism. Later on Friday, Merryn Glover, Alastair McIntosh and Alistair Moffat form a panel to discuss ‘Journeys and Pilgrimages’ with Richard Frazer. And on Saturday 4th, we welcome Alister McGrath, whose recent work explores how Richard Dawkins’ ‘The God Delusion’ has inspired 12 individuals to come to faith.

These are just a few of our talented speakers – have a closer look at these events and see more of our exciting 2023 line-up on our website.
