Based in Fife and available to meet face to face or on online platforms.

Over the years, whether working in chaplaincy, counselling, or ministry, Eileen has found supervision to be invaluable in helping her to reflect and gain insight into the dynamics of her role and relationships in a particular context. Pastoral supervision is a confidential space which facilitates reflection on practice, including the joys, the frustrations, the perplexing, the unexpected and everything in between!

For Eileen, pastoral supervision is a collaborative, creative and hospitable space, facilitated by an experienced practitioner, which reflects on role, soul, and context i.e., the interaction between our current role, the reason/sense of calling that led us to do the work we do and the context in which we currently practice.  I have found reflective practice, whether in a one to one or group context, to be a helpful pathway towards growth, increased self-awareness, and resilience.

Eileen is a Church of Scotland minister who is currently working in a pastoral support role for the Presbytery of Fife.  A senior accredited counsellor with British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy for over 20 years, with a diploma in cross professional supervision and reflective practice (May 2022), Eileen is a member of the Association of Pastoral Supervision and Education and on the Register of Healthcare Chaplains.  Her learning project ‘What is your song’ explored the value of music and songs in pastoral supervision with a cross section of chaplaincy listeners in GP surgeries counsellors, healthcare chaplains, and ministers.
