As a supervisor, Joyce offers a safe, confidential space to enable supervisees to explore their work in ways which they will find helpful and enriching for their practice. She would hope always to provide a hospitable supervisory relationship where there is space for creativity and new learning. With many years of active involvement in the Church of Scotland, Joyce has some understanding of the situations and challenges encountered by those working in ministry. She has a background in nursing and teaching, is an experienced person-centred counsellor and supervisor, a BACP Senior Accredited Counsellor, holds a Diploma in Cross-Professional Supervision and a Certificate in Compassion Focussed Staff Support. The focus of her work has been on counselling, supervising and supporting people working in healthcare, church and educational settings.
