David is a recently retired Church of Scotland minister who has a passion for encouraging the wellbeing of ministers and other workers in the church which comes from his own experiences of the challenges and rewards of Christian ministry.  He was the parish minister of Beath and Cowdenbeath North Church for almost seventeen years and since retiring has continued to be active in Dunfermline Presbytery as a one of the chaplains and as such he has played a significant part in successfully introducing Pastoral Supervision within the Presbytery. His own experience of receiving Pastoral Supervision has convinced him of the value of this practice and its worth in supporting ministry. He has a Diploma in Pastoral Supervision and Reflective Practice and is working towards accreditation with the Association for Pastoral Supervision and Education (APSE).
