How do we maintain our focus on whole-life disciplemaking during busy festival seasons like Easter and Christmas?

When it comes to major seasons in the church year, the calendar can be full to bursting and we hope our buildings will be, too. But as church leaders, it’s all too easy to think purely in terms of what’s happening in the gathered church, and underplay how the message of these festivals can envision people for their everyday life.

Of course Christmas and Easter are significant opportunities to gather people together, including those who might not usually come to church. But it’s possible to give gathered events high priority while also equipping people for the parallel opportunities and challenges they have to live out the seasonal message in daily life.

Continuing our popular lunchtime series for church leaders, this webinar will explore key ways we can use major seasons like Christmas, Easter, Pentecost, Harvest Festival, Mother’s and Father’s days and beyond to envision people for discipleship in daily life.

With Christmas fast approaching, we’ll focus particularly on tips for that season, as well as giving you a preview of ‘Down to Earth’, our upcoming Advent devotional journey, complete with 25 daily reflections and five sermon guides. It’s the perfect way for the whole church to explore the implications of Jesus’ incarnation for our everyday lives.
