“Change is the only constant,” “Change is here to stay.” Motivational speakers often quote these phrases, and they reflect much of what is happening around us in this current season.
Since the beginning of 2025, Church of Scotland Learning has launched a number of modules, all of which share the common theme of responding to change. Change continues to be present in our church, whether we want it to happen or not, and these times of change can be unsettling for everyone – church leaders and congregations alike. In light of this, our next live stream event, Church in a Changing Landscape, on 19th June at 1 pm, will look at the subject of change.
Together we’ll explore: How do we respond to the changing landscape of church where we are? How do we journey together through these challenging seasons? How might we thrive and find hope and new growth in changing times?
We’ll introduce you to four new modules on the platform: Navigating Your Way Through Change, Being an Intergenerational Church, Future Focus, and Ways of Working Together. These four modules demonstrate different aspects of the nature of change and how we can respond in the church.
You will have the opportunity to hear from Eleanor McMahon, People and Training Manager, who will introduce this relevant topic to us and a panel of module contributors. We hope this will be a stimulating and encouraging time together; we’d love to see you there.
