Duncan worked as a lawyer in the criminal courts, children’s panel and mental health tribunals before training in pastoral supervision with the Institute of pastoral Supervision and Reflective Practice.

He is passionate about helping people from a variety of workplaces to rediscover the life in their vocation through creative one to one conversation.

Duncan knows from personal experience the cost of working with people in crisis and difficulty and offers a compassionate, non-judgmental space for individuals to reflect and process their experience of helping others. He uses words but recognises that other ways of expressing deep emotions such as art or poetry can sometimes be more helpful.

He hopes to help people to find that elusive balance between work and life which is nourishing and sustaining. Duncan is based in Edinburgh and regularly offers supervision face to face or remotely.
