About the Event

Strength for Today, Hope for Tomorrow!

Come and hear from the Faith Action Team

Wednesday 8th May in Langside Parish Church

An inspirational time of worship, prayer, and vision.

Post General Assembly 2023 we have seen the creation of Seeds for Growth and the Faith Action Programme Leadership Team. We are excited to be visiting your Presbytery to discover together new ways we can encourage and support you.

Tommy MacNeil, Convener of the Faith Action Programme Leadership Team,, would like to come and spend some time with you, listening to your journeys so far and learning how we can partner with you to realise your vision of the future.

Neil Glover, Convener of the Seeds for Growth Committee, would like the opportunity to share his heart with you and in turn hear your plans to grow and flourish in your local context. Together we hope we can resource you in the next season.

2.00pm – 5.00pm Afternoon worship and workshops led by Neil Glover and Tommy MacNeil. This session is open to presbytery members and local leaders of congregational life.

Dinner break. A lite meal will be on offer for a small donation from the Churches Finn’s Place or visit a local restaurant.

QUOTES from the Aberdeen event

  • I came into the session feeling quite despondent and tired but left feeling uplifted and hopeful about our future – Joan Thorne, OLM working in Dyce and New Machar Parish Churches, Aberdeen
  • I found it very refreshing. I liked being able to say freely what made you sad/angry about the church situation in your congregation/community/generally – Sue Edwards, Foveran parish
  • The day was great. The format and content were both really good – Rev Kerr Wintersgill, Orkney
