I am an elder in Rutherglen (Burnside Blairbeth church) and recently (April 2018) retired fully from my career as a Consultant Physician with NHS Lanarkshire

Since 1995 I have been involved in postgraduate medical education and latterly was the Associate Postgraduate Dean for Foundation in the west of Scotland with responsibility for the support for junior doctors and the delivery of their educational programme.

Since 2015 I have been working in the Education and Support Committee.

I have trained as an MDC facilitator because I think the MDC is a really excellent way to allow ministers in the Church to pause, stand back from the daily routine and (sometimes) slog, and think about where they are, what they are doing and how they can look forward.

I provide a considered, sensitive and non-ministerial confidant in any conversation.
