Kay is the People and Training Manager for Faith Nurture, bringing strategic oversight to all education and learning programmes within the church. Kay is passionate about equipping people for the reality of mission, discipleship and ministry on the ground.
Kay worked for Cairn Movement with responsibility for developing and equipping disciples for leadership and disciple-making. She is an experienced trainer and has worked with many churches over a number of years, helping them to rediscover their missional focus. Kay was a senior leader at Central church, Edinburgh for ten years, catalysing a missional community network across the city and running internship & other faith development opportunities. She spent a period of this time as Executive Pastor with responsibility for the staff team and wider running of the church. She worked in student ministry for a number of years, following on from her original starting point in teaching.
Her Kay and her husband Stuart live in Edinburgh and are parents to two teenagers and one super-friendly border terrier. She loves to eat good food with great friends, hates winter when she can’t use her scooter to nip around the city and is always looking for a recommendation of a good book.
