Jane has been involved in developing supervision for over fifteen years. For some of this time she was employed by the then Ministries Council working in Ministerial Formation and developing training for supervisors of candidates in training for ministry. She was responsible for delivering much of the training and has been a champion of reflective practice in Ministry throughout this time. Jane has a Doctorate in supervision and a Diploma in Pastoral Supervision from the Institute of Pastoral Supervision and Reflective Practice. She also has counselling training through the Tom Allan Centre in Glasgow, many years of experience in offering pastoral counselling, and is a both a member and a Senior Accredited Pastoral Adviser of APSE (Association of Pastoral Supervisors and Educators). Jane’s own experience of being supervised has convinced her of its capacity to be not only supportive, increasing resilience, but also transformative and life-giving in the many challenges which face us in our daily work. She is passionate about reflective practice and theological reflection as tools for transformation and sees it as a particular privilege to journey with people in this venture. Jane is currently minister of Campsie Parish Church in Lennoxtown.
