Iain is a Mental Health and Learning Disability Chaplain who has worked in NHS Highland over the last 20 years. He trained in Glasgow, Aberdeen and New York, where he specialised in the psychology of religion programme. He has a doctorate in Ministerial Formation and a Diploma in Pastoral Supervision. He is a Trainer and Facilitator of Values-Based Reflective Practice.
Iain’s special interests include developing sustainable and resilient models of chaplaincy and spiritual care which are suited to the changing spiritual needs of our times and looking for ways in which chaplains can better support one another and enable all staff in the delivery of spiritual care and in the use of the chaplaincy services. His current research interest is in the place of values and beliefs within a healthcare team. He is a former editor of the Scottish Journal of Healthcare Chaplaincy and currently Registrar for the UK Board of Healthcare Chaplaincy.
