Ken served for 24 years as a parish minister. During that time he was also a part time hospital chaplain. In 2010 he moved into full time healthcare chaplaincy then in 2013 into full time prison chaplaincy in HMP Perth. He has supervised students in each of these settings and is part of the team which trains Church of Scotland supervisors of probationers. He trained as a counsellor with the Tom Allan Centre, in spiritual accompaniment with Glasgow Ignatian Spirituality Centre, and holds a Diploma from the Institute of Pastoral Supervision and Reflective Practice.
