‘Exercise at home. Follow health advice. Limit news intake to twice a day. Keep a routine. Be careful with alcohol. (Don’t drown your sorrows. Let them swim to shore.) Look at unchanging things (animals, trees, skies, art.) Eat things you enjoy. Stay in close contact with people you can’t be near. Drop a note to an elderly neighbour. Remember to breathe. Do some stretching. Enjoy books and TV with new intensity. Take the bins out at midnight. Know that we are in this together.’
