Transforming Hate in a Youth or Parish Setting
When2 October 2018
About the Event
For those working with young people in community and parish settings, two free one-day courses are being offered by Interfaith Scotland to equip youth leaders and ministers with appropriate tools in recognising, managing, and transforming hate speech.
Using a highly participatory, non-formal educational approach, this training is intended to look at the necessary tools and non-violent communication techniques to respond to the issue of hate speech in its multiple forms.
There are several public sessions being run from Glasgow and Edinburgh and in the autumn there will be a training course specifically designed for leaders within the Church of Scotland (for youth workers on the 19th September in Edinburgh and Ministers and other leaders on the 2nd October in Glasgow).
