About the Event

A conference for those in their First Five Years of Ministry.

Ministry can be a curious mix of mountain top experiences and long journeys through difficult territory. We often find ourselves wishing we could ascend to the high places. It’s a theme that the prophet Habakkuk wrestles with recognising that even in the difficult places it is God his saviour who is with him. He also understands that on the high tops it is God who keeps his feet from slipping.

The conference will provide opportunity to explore these themes with inspirational speakers and practical workshops. There will be plenty of space for reflection, and of course time to renew friendships and make new ones with others whom God has called to serve him across Scotland.

Inspirational Keynote speakers including:

Major Maureen Doncaster of Salvation Army. Maureen works as their Co-ordinator for the Critical Incident Programme & Regional Well Being Officer. She is passionate about helping those at the sharp end “to flourish to what God intends them to be”.

Tommy MacNeil is minister of Martin’s memorial church in Stornoway

Kenneth Steven is first and foremost a poet. Much of his work is inspired by the Celtic Christian story and by Iona, his spiritual home. He’s worked for many years as a gentle facilitator of creative writing both at home and abroad.

Tickets are free but require a code:  FFY2019
