Both in settled parishes and now as an Interim Minister, I’m aware of the changing demands in ministry and how this impacts on many of my colleagues. I believe MDC to be a valuable opportunity for self-reflection, and discernment. It’s a conversation which enables a deeper exploration of your ministry, where you’ve been, where you are at present, and which direction you feel God’s calling. My personal experience comes from 9 years parish ministry in highland Perthshire, followed by 6 years team ministry in the Angus Glens. Today I'm an Interim Minister and in Feb 2018 completed 18 months with a charge in the Scottish Borders. Currently I've been appointed as an Assessor Minister to the Presbytery of Shetland and assisting in the exciting and challenging transition to one parish throughout the whole of Shetland and a union with Aberdeen Presbytery to create a new Presbytery of Aberdeen and Shetland.
