The Bereavement Care Awareness course is part of Care for the Family’s bereavement training for churches.

It is useful for clergy, church leaders, pastoral care leaders or any volunteer interested in supporting bereaved people – whether they are already engaged in bereavement support or are considering the possibility of developing it. Care for the Family has developed this online version of the training, which is free to attend. Delivered via  Zoom, dates through October and November are now available.

Over the three hours, this course will develop knowledge, skills and understanding of how churches can be involved in providing appropriate levels of on-going support, after the funeral, for people who have been bereaved following the death of a close family member or friend. Content will be delivered in a variety of talks, group activities, videos and individual reflection.
