Rev Dr Douglas Galbraith has stepped down as editor of the Church of Scotland Year Book after 6 years of dedicated service. David Stewart has been appointed to succeed him. David is Organist and an elder at Corstorphine St Anne’s, Edinburgh. He first became well acquainted with the ‘Red Book’ whilst doing his under-graduate dissertation on the geography of the Church of Scotland in Edinburgh in the 1970s. Since then he has served as an organist, an elder, and is a logger at the General Assembly. He is a past Convener of the Deployment of Resources Committee of Edinburgh Presbytery and a past Vice-Convener of the Ministries Council (for the Partnership Development area, including Presbytery Planning). A retired senior Civil Servant, of the 1565 churches still in use, David has just 48 left to visit.
